Guided tours and visitor aids

The National Roman Museum does not organise guided tours and is temporarily without audio guides.

Cloakroom

The Palazzo Altemps and Baths of Diocletian venues are equipped with lockers.
Palazzo Massimo has an unattended cloakroom without lockers.
Please note that bulky backpacks, trolleys and umbrellas are not permitted inside the museum.

Café/Restaurant

There is a café (Caffetteria Massimo) at Palazzo Massimo, which can be accessed from inside the Museum and from outside, at Via Giovanni Amendola, 6.

Bookshop

Currently, the National Roman Museum does not have a bookshop at any of its locations.

Animals

Only small animals are allowed in the National Roman Museum, and only in carriers.
Guide dogs accompanying visitors with visual impairments and animals used for pet therapy are also allowed (upon presentation of appropriate certification).
